CASBO’s SBO 101
Tuesday, September 24, 2019 – 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Back-Nine at Stanley Golf Course – Main Meeting Room, 245 Hartford Road, New Britain, CT
This back-to-basics session will be one of the most important learning opportunities for the newer school business official. Veteran members Danielle Batchelder, Windsor Public Schools, and Sherri DiNello, Southington Public Schools, will present on topics including: grants, budget process, State reports, Medicaid, student activity accounts, and negotiations.
Program outcomes: Attendees will come away with a better understanding of the SBO responsibilities, State and Federal reporting requirements, awareness of the questions to ask and to whom, and an enhanced confidence in the role.
Too busy to attend? A little time invested in attending this session will be more than made up when you are back in the office with this new knowledge and resources.
Hesitant to ask for approval to attend? Explain to your superintendent that, even beyond all that you’ll learn during the session, building your network of colleagues is important to your success. They will become resources that will allow you to serve the district better, be more efficient, and save the district time and money.
