Coffee and pastry served. 9:00 - 11:30 am Damned if we do, Damned if we Don't As far as frustrations, probably right up there with COVID and masks is “Today’s Media”. Whether we are talking about traditional television news, print or social media, they all come with their own challenges. It is how we handle those challenges that really count. For example: Do we reply to a heated Facebook post regarding our district? Do we let the media into our building to cover what they say will be a “good story”, do we work closely with our local paper to get information out to our community and stake-holders? As someone who has worked closely over the past 15-years with Superintendents, Business Managers, IT Directors, or Business Office Staff, Ann will help us to better understand what our role is in advocating for our district or our program. This interactive session will examine when and how to respond to challenging situations. Ann speaks from years of experience assisting districts in good times and in bad. Understand why an informed and uniform message is vital to transparency and building and maintaining trust within your school community. **Homework: Please bring any questions that you would like to ask, as Ann will be allotting time for Questions and Answers, as well as sharing Best of Practices.
