LEAN Methodology: An Introduction for CT Public Schools

The LEAN Methodology is a core idea for maximizing customer value while minimizing waste; to create more value for customers with fewer resources, This session will focus on implementing the LEAN Methodology in school districts to address: Increasing resident expectations, pressure for greater accountability and transparency, tight and shrinking budgets, reductions in workforce, competing priorities, and too much to do, not enough time.

School Lunch Procurement

Ms. Pacheco and Mr. Paul will discuss the procurement requirements for sponsors of the National School Lunch Program and what you need to know to prepare for the Procurement Review. This is an important session whether you are with a FSMC or self-operated.

The TRB is offering a new base benefit plan to retirees effective July 1, 2018.Mr. Stirling will explain the differences between the plans, benefits, and enrollment process.

Schedule, topics, and speakers are subject to change.  Program outcomes:  Attendees will gain a better knowledge of the risk management.  This workshop will provide attendees with .5 CEU credits.  To qualify for full CEU credits; you must sign-in by 9:00 a.m. and sign-out no earlier than 3:00 p.m.  To qualify for .3 CEU credits, you must sign-in by 9:00 a.m. and sign-out no earlier than 12:00 p.m.
